What does it mean for a building to be certified?

A certified building has been approved by a licensed engineer to with stand local snow and wind codes. Certified units will sometimes require the customer to upgrade the framing and /or add in additional anchors and braces. Wind and snow certification will range from 90 mph winds to 180 mph winds as well as from 20 pounds per square foot snow load to 65 pounds per square foot snow load. Location will determine your requirements.

Adding side panels or complete/half sides will give you better coverage from the sun, wind, and rain. Sides will also give the carport more strength and stability.

Installation is available on any surface no more than 4" off level. We can install on concrete, ground, gravel, wood, etc. Different install surfaces may require that extra/different types of anchors be added to your order, there may be an additional charge for certain types of anchors. We are able to install on walls that are poured with concrete up to 3' tall.

We do offer free delivery and install in all areas that we service, however self installation is available for 5% off the cost of the building. Self installation will void the certifications as well as the warranty.

You can place a deposit to lock in the price and take delivery after you have had time to prepair the site for installation.

After you place your order, you will have up until they bring your unit to you, to make any necessary changes to the unit.

Yes, changes, additions, and revisions may be done to any unit previously installed. After the unit is up, you will have a year to make changes, additions, and revisions. There will be a return trip fee as well as a labor charge added for this.

Location will determine this. Every county is different on their requirements for permits. If your county does require a building permit, you would be responsible for obtaining that. Engineered prints are available upon purchase of your metal building.

Our buildings are available up to 80' wide, as long as needed, and up to 20' tall. Anything over 30' wide and/or 14' tall will be considered a commercial unit. (Lift and freight fees will be added to commercial units.)

In most locations, anything over 14' tall will require a telescopic forklift on site for install. This is a responsibility that ill fall solely on the customer at the time of install.

What is the difference in 14 gauge and 12 gauge framing?

In most locations in our service areas, certified units will come with a 20 year rust warranty and a 1 year workmanship warranty. However location may have some effect on this.

Framing is composed of either 14 gauge galvanized steel or 12 gauge galvanized steel. 14 gauge is 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" square tubing, while 12 gauge (the thicker option) is composed of 2 1/4" x 2 1/4" square tubing.
